Shower Curtains

Certain types of shower curtains commonly used in homes, gyms, hospitals, hotels and resorts may contain harmful chemicals that are released into the air. Shower curtains made of polyvinyl chloride contain many harmful chemicals including volatile organic compounds, phthalates and organotins, which are known to cause developmental damage as well as damage to the central nervous, respiratory and reproductive systems and to the liver which can cause cancer in animals and humans alike. These chemicals make up that “new shower curtain smell”. We don’t need hidden nanny cameras to know the existence of these chemicals. The olfactory sense smells it all.
