Bronzers are such heaven sent especially when you lack the time to spend outdoors. But you have to do it right so no one would suspect that the tan your sporting actually came from a bottle. To make the most out of it, follow these guidelines:

1)    Do the Patch Test

Allergies are not just gruesome but they are actually more dangerous than we think. Having it means the body’s defense mechanism is at work. It is an inflammatory response that should alarm us so it’s important to do the patch test. Take a small amount of tanner and smear it in the inner part of your arm. Observe your reaction for 24 hours before applying on your entire body. This is also a good way to know how your skin will look after application.

2)    Exfoliate

Self tanners will be more effective and blends well with your skin if it is less flaky. Do away with the dead skin layer by scrubbing while in the shower. Double slough the areas that are rough such as elbows and knees. This is also a good way to ascertain there will be no uneven patches.

3)    Apply

Smooth on a liberal amount of the formula. Apply a thin layer first, just reapply if you want a darker hue. Dab the areas with skin folds to prevent the build-up on these areas.
